What is Breast Cancer?
Breast cancer is a cancer that forms in the tissues of the breast. It is usually found in the tubes that carry milk to the nipple (ducts) or the glands that make milk (lobules). Both men and women can develop breast cancer but, it is more often found in women.
In the United States, women are more likely to be diagnosed with breast cancer than any other type except for skin cancer. This is why early detection and awareness are crucial.
